Empowering women over 40 to step into their power
and embrace aging through a luxury portrait experience.
Over the past 3 year’s…
★ We've been able to show that aging is something that should be celebrated, not shamed!
★ We've been able to showcase all different body types, ages and ethnicities; each person unique and all beautiful!
★ We've been able to highlight 120 personal stories of aging, overcoming challenges and celebrating achievements.
★ We've helped 120 women over 40, look and feel beautiful in portraits!
★ And while doing so, we've raised over $10,000 for charity!
WHAT IS THE 40 OVER 40 PROJECT?
The 40 Over 40 Project is about empowering women in their 40's, 50's, 60's and beyond. It's about starting a conversation around the beauty of aging and changing the way we define it. Our purpose is to help women fall more in love with themselves, embrace and celebrate their bodies, wrinkles, grey hair and help change the way society views beauty.
Our studio will be photographing and interviewing 40 women over the age of 40 throughout 2024. The photoshoot experience will include a full makeover by our professional hair and makeup artist, a guided portrait session (we can do headshots, branding, glam, boudoir or a mix), a feature in our upcoming published book ‘Over 40 And Fabulous’, and 2 tickets to our exclusive and private book launch.
Not only will this project help empower 40 more women, it will also help support charity. $50 from each session will be donated directly to our chosen charity, totalling $2000 at the end of the project!
2024 will be our last and final 40 Over 40 Project as we make room for new initiatives, so if you’ve been on the fence about participating, this is your last chance. Spots are expected to fill up quickly!

Jenn emailed me throughout the whole process, ensuring I had all the information I needed to make this a comfortable and fun photo session. I love her choice of my clothing and the background colours to bring everything together. I'm excited to use my branding shots! As an added bonus, she made me feel like a princess when I stepped out of my comfort zone and posed as a fantasy novel princess to promote my upcoming book. So much laughter and fun.

Jenn makes even the most camera shy or unphotogenic person look their best! She was professional from the start to the finish, didn't try to put me in any poses that were uncomfortable or not my style, and provided a fun and relaxing atmosphere. From the wardrobe consultation, to the day of the shoot, to the selection of photos/products, she makes it all about you and makes you feel extraordinary.

I thoroughly enjoyed my branding photo session with Jenn! She thought of every detail from a wardrobe consultation, how to prepare for the photoshoot and what to expect. I am not fond of having my photo taken, but Jenn made it fun and made "posing" feel like fun and towards the end, I was figuring it out on my own. I was not disappointed. I felt cared for, and confident the entire day. I was thrilled when I saw my portraits. I'd absolutely recommend Jenn and her team again, and look forward to being a return customer.

‘Over 40 And Fabulous’ Book Launch
In past years each participant had went home with their own magazine, featuring all 40 women and stories. However, since this will be our last 40 Over 40 Project, to celebrate the end of an era we’ve decided to publish our own book, featuring 40 new women, as well as past participants; showcasing 100+ powerful women over 40 and their inspiring stories of strength, resilience and beauty. The “Over 40 And Fabulous” book will be available to purchase online and through local book stores and each participant will go home with their own complimentary copy of the book!
In 2025 we will gather together again at our exclusive and private book launch to celebrate everyone’s accomplishments and you’'ll receive your complimentary book. We will have food, drinks, a photo-station and entertainment as we shine light on 100+ fabulous women over 40.
If you want gorgeous portraits of yourself you love, your story to be featured in a published book along side 100+ inspiring women, this is your chance!

We work with the best hair and makeup artist in Vancouver! We want you to not only look beautiful, but feel beautiful as well. We’ll make sure you leave the makeup chair with a huge smile and a new confidence!

What does your dream photoshoot look like? Each session is customized to our clients needs, for an effortless and enjoyable experience. Our professional team will guide you through the entire process, from wardrobe design to posing. Come enjoy a full make-over experience and create beautiful portraits that you’ll cherish for a lifetime.

1 high resolution digital image is included in the $525 session see. Additional images are purchased separately at your viewing and ordering appointment on the day of your photoshoot.

At the end of this years project we will be creating and PUBLISHING our own 'Over 40 and Fabulous' book that will be available online and in local book stores! The book will feature this year's women, as well, we'll be reaching out to all 120 previous participants.
